TV2 Ost is a State Owned entity headquartered in Denmark, functioning as a tier 1 media tech buyer. Founded in 1991, employing approximately 120 individuals, the company specializes in broadcast television and radio, operating as a regional public service television station and digital news provider in Denmark. It is one of eight independent regional entities within the broader TV 2 network infrastructure, established under the Danish Broadcasting Act of 1986. Commencing operations on January 2, 1991, the station is headquartered in Vordingborg. TV2 Ost serves the western and southern parts of Zealand, alongside the islands of Lolland, Falster, and Møn, operating under a statutory public service mandate to deliver objective regional journalism, cultural documentation, and localized civic reporting independent of commercial or political bias.
Optus Sport ceased operations on August 1, 2025, after nearly a decade of broadcasting football in Australia. This followed the transfer of key football rights, including the Premier League, Emirates FA Cup, J.League, and National Women’s Soccer League, to Stan Sport. Nine Entertainment Co, through its subsidiary Stan, acquired selected Optus Sport assets, including media rights agreements, subscriber agreements, and social media assets. These assets included the Premier League and Emirates FA Cup rights. Following this acquisition, Nine Entertainment appointed Howard Rees, formerly the head of Optus Sport, as its chief strategy officer for broadcast and streaming.
