TV2 ØST is a state-owned Danish broadcasting company founded in 1991. Employing approximately 120 people, it produces and broadcasts television and radio programs focused on the geographical area encompassing the former West Zealand and Storstrøm counties. In 2023, the company's revenue was less than $50 million. TV2 ØST is a subsidiary of TV2 Denmark.
Optus Sport ceased operations on August 1, 2025, after nearly a decade of broadcasting football in Australia. This followed the transfer of key football rights, including the Premier League, Emirates FA Cup, J.League, and National Women’s Soccer League, to Stan Sport. Nine Entertainment Co, through its subsidiary Stan, acquired selected Optus Sport assets, including media rights agreements, subscriber agreements, and social media assets. These assets included the Premier League and Emirates FA Cup rights. Following this acquisition, Nine Entertainment appointed Howard Rees, formerly the head of Optus Sport, as its chief strategy officer for broadcast and streaming. Rees confirmed the appointment on LinkedIn.
