Twin Cities Public Television, also known as Twin Cities PBS or TPT, is a privately owned nonprofit organization headquartered in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. Founded in 1957, the organization employs approximately 270 individuals and specializes in broadcast media production and distribution. The company operates the Twin Cities' two PBS member television stations, KTCA-TV (channel 2.1) and KTCI-TV (channel 2.3), both licensed to Saint Paul. Twin Cities PBS produces programs for local, regional, and national television broadcast, in addition to operating numerous websites and producing rich media content for Web distribution.
Twin Cities PBS announced on March 31, 2026, the premiere of "The Wild West Bank Sound," a new history documentary exploring the vibrant music culture of the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood that helped shape Minnesota's artistic identity. On March 27, the organization held a live filming of its public affairs show *Almanac* at the Atwood Memorial Center of St. Cloud State University. Earlier, on March 2, the Association of Public Television Stations (APTS) presented its 2026 Pillar of Public Service Award to Sylvia Strobel, President and CEO of Twin Cities PBS, recognizing her contributions to public television's missions in education, public safety, and community connections. Strobel joined Twin Cities PBS in February 2020. This follows an announcement on November 11, 2025, that Twin Cities PBS's food-and-culture series *RELISH* would expand its national distribution, prepare for a host transition, and develop a new limited series for 2026, following an award-winning season.
