Ubiquiti released UniFi Network 10.5 on June 25, 2026, an incremental update for its UniFi Cloud Gateways that enhances PPPoE broadband support for EU and Asian users. This release came as the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) earlier on June 25 ordered patching of critical bugs targeting Ubiquiti UniFi OS devices, stating that network access alone could allow attackers to access files, run arbitrary commands, and fully compromise a range of unpatched UniFi OS systems, including routers, firewalls, and network video recorders. The CISA directive followed its broader warning earlier the same day that critical flaws in both Lantronix and Ubiquiti devices were under active exploitation in real-world attacks, mandating federal civilian agencies to apply patches by June 26. Separately, an industry cybersecurity roundup on June 25 also highlighted that three specific Ubiquiti flaws were under active exploitation.
