The United States Agency for Global Media (USAGM) is a privately owned federal agency established in 1999. Employing approximately 460 people and headquartered in the United States, its primary function is the production and distribution of broadcast media. USAGM oversees six international news networks: Voice of America, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Radio Free Asia, Middle East Broadcasting Networks (including Alhurra), the Office of Cuba Broadcasting, and the Open Technology Fund.
