This plugin aims to capture variations across four distinct amplifier eras, rather than a single fixed model, recreating sought-after boutique amp behavior within a digital audio workstation. Previously, a review published on April 28, 2026, highlighted the Knuckles ’92, a high-gain guitar amp plugin released in 2024, noting its unexpected effectiveness on synthesizers. Earlier in April, Universal Audio introduced the UAD Explore FREE bundle, making eight of its core production plug-ins and the LUNA digital audio workstation available at no cost. Announced on April 15, 2026, and further detailed on April 17, this bundle includes products such as the Pure Plate Reverb, 1176 compressor, and PolyMAX synth, running natively on Mac and PC without requiring dedicated UA hardware.
