Universal Beijing Resort, a privately owned entertainment provider headquartered in China, is minority-owned by NBCUniversal, a division of Comcast (30%), and majority-owned by Beijing Shouhuan Cultural Tourism Investment (70%), a Chinese state-owned enterprise. Founded in 2021, and employing approximately 1,580 individuals, the resort complex, which began invite-only test operations on September 1, 2021, and full operation on September 20, 2021, functions as a theme park and entertainment resort complex based in Beijing.
On March 26, 2026, Universal Beijing Resort introduced a cultural experience allowing guests to interact with a performer portraying Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai, who recites verses at their tables during lunch.
