Universal International Studios, a privately owned company based in the UK, functions as a division of Universal Studio Group and operates with approximately 50 employees. Specializing in media production, the London-based entity, led by President Beatrice Springborn, partners with storytellers globally to create television content. Its in-house production companies include Carnival Films, Monkey, Matchbox Pictures, Working Title Television, and Heyday Television. The studio also supports Tony Ayres Productions and holds a minority shareholding with a first-look distribution agreement in Canada’s Lark Productions. A dedicated scripted unit develops and produces original series such as “Hanna” and "Dodger,” and collaborates with third parties on series like "Everyone Else Burns” and “One Day.” Additionally, Universal International Studios includes NBCUniversal Formats, which serves as its international sales division responsible for bringing content, including titles such as "The Real Housewives," "Top Chef," "Saturday Night Live," "Hollywood Game Night," "That’s My Jam," "Suits," and "Superstore," to the global market.
On May 2, 2026, United Airlines rolled out a dedicated channel powered by NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming platform across its fleet, offering passengers access to a new slate of Peacock original series. This move positioned the carrier as a content-rich airline in the United States. Previously, on April 30, United Airlines unveiled this addition to its inflight entertainment, announcing the launch of the dedicated Peacock channel and confirming that customers could enjoy popular series and original shows from May 1. The airline specified that more than 800 aircraft would feature seatback screens, with content also accessible on personal devices via the United mobile app.
