The University of Rochester launched its largest fundraising initiative, "For Ever Better: The Campaign for the University of Rochester," on September 18, 2025, during Meliora Weekend, aiming to raise $1.75 billion. A University of Rochester-led coalition was named a finalist in the National Science Foundation's Regional Innovation Engines program's second competition, focusing on laser science and development in the Rochester/Finger Lakes region.
