Earlier, on March 26, 2026, USSI Global inaugurated the engineering center, designed to provide a platform-agnostic controlled environment for the broadcast and media community to test alternatives to C-Band media transport and distribution. USSI Global initially announced the lab in October 2025 as a dedicated hub for this purpose, ahead of a potential second phase of the FCC's C-Band transition.
