UTV, also known as Ulster Television, is a privately owned company headquartered in Ireland. Founded in 1959, the company reported $10.5M in revenue as of 2016. Functioning as the ITV region covering Northern Ireland, UTV is an ITV subsidiary and was the former on-air name of the free-to-air public broadcast television channel serving the area. Run by ITV plc, it is responsible for the regional news service and other programmes made principally for the area.
