Vasaloppet

Vasaloppet, a non-profit organization owned by IFK Mora and Sälens IF, is headquartered in Sweden. Founded in 1922, the organization operates with an estimated 60 employees, with approximately 35 full-time staff specifically dedicated to planning, preparing, and developing its various events. The company primarily focuses on winter sports, functioning as the organizer of the world's oldest and largest cross-country ski race. The inaugural race in 1922 followed a 90 km route between Berga by in Sälen and Mora, which remains the historic path for all current races. Today, Vasaloppet offers approximately twenty different races, encompassing cycling, running, and cross-country skiing, and annually attracts around 100,000 registered participants across these disciplines.
