Vegas PBS, a privately owned company based in the US, was founded in 1968 and operates with approximately 100 employees. The organization specializes in broadcast media production and distribution.
Vegas PBS held its "Stories That Shape Us" gala on April 16, 2026, a special event benefiting public television and honoring the visionaries, leaders, and dreamers who have shaped Las Vegas and those imagining its future. Previously, on December 4, 2025, the station launched a three-hour prime-time pledge special, "Pledge for Vegas," which served as a fundraiser and a celebration of the community, its culture, and future. This followed Vegas PBS's "Be My Neighbor Day" on October 4, 2025, a free outdoor event held at The Lawn in Downtown Summerlin, which promoted being a caring neighbor through acts of kindness and family-friendly activities, featuring appearances by PBS KIDS characters Daniel Tiger and Miss Elaina.
