On the same day, Viviana Hernández-Castañón progressed research into dystonia, a chronic neurological disorder, aiming to understand the brain changes that cause its painful symptoms, a condition studied for over a century. Also on June 25, the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine (VMCVM) spotlighted alumna Estelle Ward, who praised VMCVM for equipping her for her veterinary career and fostering a dynamic community.
