Based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, they are a member of the National Football Conference (NFC) East division in the National Football League (NFL). The team plays its home games at FedExField in Landover, Maryland, and maintains its headquarters and training facilities in Ashburn, Virginia. Employing approximately 810 people, the Commanders generated less than $1 billion in revenue in 2023. The franchise, which has a history of over 1,300 games played and over 600 wins, was acquired by a Josh Harris-led ownership group in 2023 for $6.05 billion. The team is notable for its long-standing fight song, "Hail to the Commanders.
