West African Football Union, also known as WAFU, is a privately owned entity headquartered in Senegal, founded in 1975, and functions as a tier 1 media tech buyer. The association is comprised of football playing nations in West Africa and was established at the request of the Senegal Football Federation, which sought for nations within CAF's Zone A and B to convene and host a consistent competitive tournament. WAFU organizes various competitions, including the WAFU Nations Cup, and notably organized an under-20 championship in 2008.
