It is considered a prominent team within the Formula One world championship.
Williams Racing plans to demolish its current wind tunnel and construct a new research and development building with associated infrastructure. This plan was announced in multiple reports. Team Principal Vowles recently enjoyed a GT3 test at Circuito de Navarra. Driver Carlos Sainz described his involvement with the team as a "life project," noting his ambition to return Williams to Formula 1's top tier. A new partnership with New Era was announced as the team's official teamwear and headwear partner, replacing another association.
