Winchester Interconnect is a privately owned company headquartered in the US. Founded in 1941, it employs approximately 490 individuals. The company operates as a manufacturer of precision-engineered interconnects designed for various sectors including data infrastructure, medical, aerospace, and semiconductor industries.
On March 30, 2026, Aptiv PLC and its American subsidiary Winchester Interconnect introduced Modulus, a modular connector tailored for satellites and unmanned aerial systems, designed to transmit signals, data, and power between terminals and devices. This introduction followed the platform's launch by Aptiv and Winchester Interconnect on March 23, 2026. The Modulus connector platform is a ruggedized, modular, and field-serviceable solution that combines high-speed Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) and configurable power in a compact design. Joseph Massaro, Vice Chair and President Engineered Components, stated that Modulus provides engineers with the configurability needed for signal power and high-speed data in one rugged platform, addressing the demands of space and defense applications.
