The set is scheduled for release on April 24. Earlier on April 3, several new "Secrets of Strixhaven" Commanders, such as Witherbloom the Balancer, were spoiled early, prompting players to discover two-card infinite combos. Also on April 3, the complete story for the "Secrets of Strixhaven" set was released, marking the first return trip to the plane of Arcavios and its school of magic since 2021. On April 2, Wizards of the Coast released a new "Unearthed Arcana" for Dungeons & Dragons titled "Villainous Options," which explores four new darker subclass choices for player characters.
