On July 28, 2026, WVTM 13 in central Alabama announced it would expand to include CBS programming starting August 1. This follows an agreement reached in July by Nexstar and Paramount Skydance to take over CBS programming after decades of ownership changes. Previously, on September 10, 2025, WVTM 13 recognized Hunger Action Day by wearing orange, supporting a nationwide effort led by Feeding America's September campaign to provide food for individuals facing hunger.
