Xperi is a publicly owned company headquartered in the US. Founded in 1990, the company has approximately 1,490 employees and specializes in computers and electronics manufacturing. On September 11, 2026, TiVo Platform Technologies LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Xperi Inc., introduced Agent TiVo, a new conversational AI-powered entertainment experience. This guide aims to transform how operators and entertainment platforms help consumers discover, decide, and watch content across television and streaming environments through natural conversations, deepening engagement while maintaining operational efficiency. Previously, on September 3, Xperi unveiled major TiVo OS updates at the IFA trade show, including the forthcoming Agent TiVo feature for natural-language discovery. The company also announced that its independent Linux-based TiVo OS now deploys on hardware with as little as 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of eMMC storage, roughly half the memory typically required by Google TV implementations, which could lower component costs for television manufacturers.
