Previously, on April 15, 2026, Xreal CEO Schütz stated in an interview with Maeil Economy that AR glasses, integrating artificial intelligence (AI), will gradually begin to replace smartphones in 2027 and further in 2028. Schütz elaborated that these devices are evolving beyond basic imaging to become "user-only secretaries" capable of understanding the real world.
