YTN

YTN, a privately owned company based in South Korea, functions as a tier 1 media tech buyer. Founded in 1993, the company employs approximately 410 individuals. It specializes in broadcast television and radio, and is recognized as the first 24-hour Korean news channel to be broadcast throughout South Korea, commencing operations on March 1, 1995. Originally, YTN stood for Yonhap Television News, operating as a subsidiary of Yonhap News Agency until its separation from the agency in 1998. Following its separation, the channel adopted previous slogans such as "Yesterday, Tomorrow and Now" and "Your True Network", both serving as backronyms for its name. In 2011, Yonhap News Agency launched its own separate channel.
