Ultima Hora Paraguay, also known as Editorial El País, is a privately owned company headquartered in Asunción, Paraguay. It is a subsidiary of Grupo Vierci. Founded in 1973, with approximately 100 employees, the company specializes in search, social, and retail media. Functioning as a multi-platform digital journalism house and daily newspaper, Ultima Hora was established on 8 October 1973 by journalist Isaac Kostianovsky. The press institution was originally established as an evening paper during the Alfredo Stroessner dictatorship, transitioning to a double morning-and-evening layout in 1999 before shifting exclusively to a morning paper format in 2002. In March 2003, the enterprise was acquired by corporate executive Antonio J. Vierci, integrating it as the absolute print and investigative backbone of the holding group Grupo Vierci.
