Ajax saw Bamberger appointed as chairman of the Supervisory Board at an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on March 9, 2026, for a four-year term extending until the end of the annual general meeting in 2030. Previously, on March 8, the four-time European champions named Oscar Garcia as their new coach, demoting Fred Grim back to his previous role with the club’s academy.
