AI Singapore

AI Singapore, also known as AISG, is a state-owned entity headquartered in Singapore. Founded in 2017, the organization employs approximately 280 individuals, focusing on software development as its main product while functioning as a national program dedicated to anchoring deep capabilities in Artificial Intelligence within Singapore. Supported by the National Research Foundation, the organization works to create significant social and economic impacts, grow local talent, and build a robust national AI ecosystem. It operates across several key areas including AI Research, funding fundamental AI techniques and algorithms; AI Governance, supporting research on the ethics, fairness, accountability, transparency, and safety of AI systems; AI Technology, solving national challenges with high-impact, applied AI projects; AI Innovation, co-creating solutions with the industry through programs like 100 Experiments (100E) and the AI Apprenticeship Programme (AIAP); and AI Talent Development (LearnAI), which focuses on training students and working professionals to be AI-aware and AI-ready. The organization also creates and offers open-source AI products and frameworks, such as SEA-LION and TagUI, to accelerate industry adoption.
