On March 30, 2026, the Spanish communications and markets regulator CNMC authorized MasOrange and Aire Networks to cease providing fibre services to MVNO Silbo Telecom due to non-payment. The watchdog cleared the wholesale providers to terminate their contracts after Silbo failed to respond to its requests. Earlier, on June 25, 2025, Grupo Aire, a Spanish telecommunications provider, announced Javier Polo's appointment as its new chief executive. Polo, who has served on Aire's board since 2023, replaced founder Raul Aledo, who became the group's non-executive chairman.
