America Movil (NYSE:AMX) reported its quarterly earnings on February 13, posting $0.35 earnings per share and missing the consensus estimate of $0.43 by $0.08, according to Zacks reports. Previously, on February 12, América Móvil affirmed its continued investment in the Chilean market to gain revenue market share and operational synergies, describing the market as strategic despite challenges. This commitment follows the company's decision not to proceed with a joint bid with Entel for Telefónica’s Chilean business. Earlier the same day, America Movil announced it is preliminarily targeting a capital expenditure of 14%-15% of revenues for 2026 and coming years, a target which remains to be finalized, following its fourth-quarter results.
