On August 17, 2026, Anuvu appointed Prabhu Shanmugam as Chief Digital and Technology Officer, tasking him with leading the company's global technology strategy, digital products, and AI initiatives. Previously, on August 11, Anuvu highlighted its use of artificial intelligence to expedite inflight entertainment content processing, aiming to reduce the lag in new movie titles reaching aircraft, which historically could be weeks after their consumer video-on-demand release. This follows the July 20 appointment of Simon Sutton, a former HBO executive, as Chief Executive Officer. Ali Bajwa, Principal at Platinum Equity, commented on Sutton's experience in building and scaling global media and content distribution businesses.
