Anuvu is a privately owned US company founded in 2002. Employing approximately 900 people, it provides enterprise connectivity and entertainment services primarily to the mobility and hospitality sectors. Previously known as Global Eagle Entertainment, Anuvu's core business focuses on delivering high-speed internet access and related entertainment solutions to its clients.
On April 22, 2025, Anuvu upgraded its Dedicated Space™ platform, resulting in a more than 35% increase in peak speed. On July 23, 2025, Anuvu signed an exclusive agreement with CNN to provide CNN International news coverage on cruise lines. On August 18, 2025, Platinum Equity announced a definitive agreement to acquire Anuvu. The acquisition by Platinum Equity, a private equity firm, is expected to capitalize on growth in the airline and travel industry.
