Privately owned ArianeSpace, headquartered in France, was founded in 1980 and operates with approximately 260 employees. The company specializes in aviation and aerospace component manufacturing, functioning as a subsidiary of ArianeGroup, a joint venture between Airbus and Safran. Known as the world's first commercial launch service provider, ArianeSpace operates two distinct launch vehicles: Vega C, which is a small-lift rocket, and Ariane 6, a medium-to-heavy-lift rocket.
