The company specializes in aviation and aerospace component manufacturing, with its primary business focusing on the design and manufacturing of commercial aircraft. Airbus also maintains separate defence and space and helicopter divisions. The company has been recognized as the world's leading helicopter manufacturer and, in 2019, emerged as the world's biggest manufacturer of airliners.
