On September 11, 2026, India's Digital Communications Commission (DCC) approved the spectrum allocation recommendations made by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), clearing the way for global low-earth-orbit satellite players such as Eutelsat OneWeb, Starlink, and Reliance Jio to move closer to launching commercial satellite broadband services in the country.
