VEON Group and its Kazakh subsidiary KaR-Tel, operating under the Beeline brand, signed a memorandum of cooperation with the National Bank of Kazakhstan on September 11, 2026, to develop payment services and national payment infrastructure. This followed JazzWorld's induction of 100 young professionals into its AI Associate Programme 2026 earlier on September 9, as the company accelerates its transition towards becoming an AI-native organization. Also on September 9, a VEON and JazzWorld leadership delegation, led by VEON Group CEO Kaan Terzioğlu and JazzWorld CEO Aamir Ibrahim, met with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, to discuss digital transformation, 5G expansion, telecom sector sustainability, and opportunities to accelerate digital adoption in the country. Earlier that day, VEON explored digital tools with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) to broaden retail investment participation, aligning with SECP Chairman Dr. Kabir Ahmed Sidhu's call for increased digitalization across capital markets, REITs, and insurance.
