On March 13, 2026, Eutelsat exited capacity leases on two Russian spacecraft, a decision driven by the in-orbit failure of one satellite and the planned relocation of the other, which allowed the company to conclude contracts impacted by Western sanctions and the structural decline in TV broadcasts from geostationary orbit (GEO).
