News Summary:

On July 30, Apex Media Partners expanded international access to In Touch+ programming through Eutelsat's HOTBIRD Satellites, enabling viewers across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East to access teachings from In Touch Ministries. Also on July 30, the Polish government officially joined Europe's IRIS2 secure satellite communication system, following a memorandum of understanding signed in Warsaw between Eutelsat and Poland. This agreement, signed by Eutelsat CEO Jean-François Fallacher and Tomasz Szymański, Secretary of State at Poland’s Ministry of the Interior and Administration, establishes a legal basis for cooperation on the European Union’s IRIS² satellite program, with a focus on developing secure satellite communications in Europe, particularly the deployment and future evolution of its Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) constellation. Previously, on July 28, Eutelsat was set to receive $504 million after the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approved rules to clear 160 megahertz of Upper C-band spectrum for wireless use in the contiguous United States. This payment forms part of a broader initiative to compensate satellite operators for making room for terrestrial wireless flexible use.
