The Digital Intermediate Frequency Interoperability Consortium (DIFI) announced on April 16, 2025, that its second European PlugFest will be held in September at WORK Microwave GmbH. The PlugFest will test the interoperability of digital ground systems up to Version 1.2.1 of the DIFI Standard. Later, on September 9, 2025, DIFI announced details for its Plugfest Showcase Day, to be held September 11, 2025, at WORK Microwave GmbH's Holzkirchen, Germany headquarters. This event will feature keynotes, live demos, and an industry panel. In July 2025, the European Space Agency (ESA) selected WORK Microwave as the prime contractor to develop a system validation test bed for the IRIS² satellite constellation.
