ARN, a privately-owned company headquartered in the UAE, was founded in 2001 and employs approximately 330 individuals. Functioning as a tier 1 media tech buyer, the company's core operations include broadcast television and radio, specifically managing a multilingual radio network in Dubai, and it also operates an advertising subsidiary named MPN.
ARN is reportedly pursuing TV talent following the departure of Kyle & Jackie O, amidst speculation regarding their $200 million contracts. Earlier on April 1, the network faced scrutiny over listener departures at its Kiis stations and investor confidence, alongside ongoing lawsuits from talent. Despite these challenges, ARN continues to rely on key personalities such as Gold's national breakfast host Christian O’Connell and national drive duo Brendan Jones and Amanda Keller, who expressed feeling "cut adrift." Previously, on March 27, Kyle Sandilands initiated a legal battle against ARN, suing the network over the alleged invalid termination of his $100 million radio contract in March, asserting no serious misconduct occurred. Sandilands claims his prolonged absence from air is causing him "irreparable harm" as he seeks reinstatement to fulfill his contract. This legal action could involve his estranged co-host, Jackie O, and follows ARN flagging a potential cross-claim against Sandilands, seeking repayment of his earnings in response to his suit challenging the network's decision to scrap his 10-year, $100 million contract.
