The Asian Hockey Federation (AHF), a privately owned organization founded in 1958 and headquartered in Malaysia, governs field hockey in Asia. As of 2023, the AHF employs approximately 10 people and oversees 33 member associations. The federation is affiliated with the International Hockey Federation (FIH). Its primary activity is the organization and administration of field hockey competitions and related activities.
The Asian Hockey Federation announced the schedule for the Men’s Hockey Asia Cup on Tuesday, August 29 to September 7, in Rajgir, Bihar, India. Pool B includes Bangladesh, South Korea, Malaysia, and Chinese Taipei. Ten days before the tournament, the AHF announced updated pools following Pakistan's refusal to participate and Oman's withdrawal. India, China, Japan, and Kazakhstan now comprise Pool A. During the tournament, Japan defeated Chinese Taipei 2-0 on a day in September 2025 in the Super 4s Pool stage. Also in September 2025, China achieved a 13-1 victory over Kazakhstan in Pool A. Separately, the AHF announced an updated schedule for the Women’s Asia Cup 2025, to be held in Hangzhou, China, from September 5 to 14.
