The team is based in Silverstone, United Kingdom, and is owned by a consortium led by Canadian billionaire Lawrence Stroll. The team was founded in 1959 as the Aston Martin Formula 1 Team and has competed in Formula One under various names and guises throughout its history. The team currently fields two cars for drivers Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso.
