ATN Bangla, also known as Asian Television Network, is a privately owned entity headquartered in Bangladesh. Founded in 1997, it offers broadcast television and radio services. It stands as Bangladesh's first privately owned satellite television channel, established by media entrepreneur Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman and operated under Multimedia Production Company Limited. The network significantly impacted the country's broadcasting landscape by ending the national television monopoly held by state-run Bangladesh Television (BTV). ATN Bangla utilizes Direct-to-Home (DTH) Satellite Relay, Managed Digital Cable Networks, and Over-the-Top (OTT) IP Web Data Networks for its primary transmission types. It streams news, general entertainment, drama serials, musical shows, talk shows, and films, reaching audiences across South Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America.
