The Creator Lab originated in the UK as a talent discovery and development scheme for social and digital creators interested in television careers. This followed news from July 29 that BBC Studios is seeking a new head for its Natural History Unit (NHU) before incumbent Jonny Keeling transitions to the role of creative director in early 2027. In his new capacity, Keeling will focus on program-making, creative leadership, and the delivery of ambitious NHU projects for partners including the BBC, PBS, and National Geographic.
