This initiative aligns with a trend of broadcaster-streamer partnerships across Europe over the past year, involving platforms like Disney+ and Netflix sharing domestic rights. On the same day, CEO Tom Fussell confirmed BBC Studios will bid "with gusto" to become the next producer of "Doctor Who" when the tender process begins later this year.
