BigCommerce reported on October 2, 2026, a credential compromise that occurred in mid-September 2026 involving its App Marketplace apps Ribon and Ribon 1.5, owned and operated by Be A Part Of a Fastr company. Attackers abused stolen API and application access credentials to access shopper and customer records for merchants who had installed the apps, and to inject malicious scripts into a small number of storefronts. Previously, on September 30, 2026, Commerce launched new data enrichment capabilities for BigCommerce and Feedonomics, designed to help B2C and B2B merchants create richer, AI-ready product data at scale, which also forms the foundation of Commerce’s broader agentic commerce solutions.
