On September 24, 2026, Brandix earned recognition as one of Sri Lanka’s Most Outstanding Women-Friendly Workplaces at the Satynmag Women-Friendly Workplace Awards 2026, marking its fourth consecutive year, with women representing 80% of its workforce. Previously, on September 11, Brandix CEO Omar cautioned that Sri Lanka’s apparel industry's competitive advantage faces threats from post-production delays across the wider supply chain, despite increased production speed within factories. This follows a September 4 report from the Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF) indicating that Sri Lanka’s apparel manufacturing sector is grappling with compressed order horizons from American buyers and nearly zero financial relief from US tariff refunds, unlike the American brands they supply. Earlier, on August 16, Brandix served as the Main Partner for the 'Social' discussion at CATALYZE 2026, an event hosted by the UN Global Compact Network Sri Lanka, reinforcing its commitment to people-centred sustainability.
