On March 19, 2026, *Saturday Night Live UK* received an expanded episode count, growing from its initial order of six episodes, ahead of its March 21 series premiere. This development followed the announcement of the first English-language international offshoot of NBC’s *SNL* in April 2025. Previously, on March 17, the show confirmed its debut on Sky and NOW on March 21, with next-day streaming available on Peacock. As the first British adaptation of NBC's *Saturday Night Live*, it aims to bring the live, unpredictable energy of the U.S. version with a distinct British sensibility. Earlier, on March 9, Peacock acquired the U.S. streaming rights for *Saturday Night Live U.K.*, making episodes available the day after their initial airing in the U.K. A teaser for the new UK version, emphasizing its live broadcast, weekly guest hosts, and musical guests, was revealed on March 5. McSweeney’s and Broadway Video presented the "Documentary Now! (Fourth Edition Revised and Expanded)" book on February 24.
