On August 5, 2026, CNN International hired British-Nigerian journalist Adefemi Akinsanya to host its new multiplatform feature series, "Africa Inc." The series will showcase African companies competing and thriving globally across sectors from technology and hospitality to manufacturing and entertainment. Previously, on August 3, global money movement platform Equals partnered with CNN International on a long-term content partnership, which launched at the Money 20/20 fintech conference. This collaboration marks Equals’ first brand activation at this scale and follows the company's recent brand identity unveiling. Earlier, on July 15, CNN International promoted Irene Nasser to Director of News Video. Based at the network’s Asia-Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong, Nasser will help set CNN's global news agenda during Asia hours, coordinating newsgathering resources and collaborating on cross-platform visual storytelling.
