City of Hope, also known as CTCA, is a non-profit organization headquartered in the US, operating as a tier 1 media tech buyer. Founded in 1988 with approximately 2,660 employees, the organization specializes in hospitals and health care. It functions as a private, non-profit clinical cancer research center and hospital located in California, United States, having previously been known as Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
On May 1, 2026, Dr. Alexey Danilov, associate director for Clinical Services and co-director of the Toni Stephenson Lymphoma Center at City of Hope, discussed how to approach second-line treatment selection for patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) who received time-limited venetoclax-based regimens in the frontline setting. Previously, on April 30, Dani Castillo, a medical oncologist and researcher at City of Hope, shared insights on diagnostic challenges with PD-L1 and CLDN18.2 biomarkers, noting CLDN18.2's better baseline consistency but its vulnerability to treatment changes, which requires post-neoadjuvant reassessment. Also on April 30, results from a study presented at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting indicated that an intervention involving text messaging and patient navigation increased breast cancer screening rates among people experiencing homelessness, while colorectal and cervical cancer screening rates did not improve.
