On September 1, 2026, City of Hope reported that a retrospective analysis, conducted between November 2014 and October 2024, found cytoreduction with bridging therapy improved outcomes for pediatric and adult patients with B-ALL who received CD19-directed CAR T-cell therapy and had high disease burden. Previously, on July 28, 2026, a new preclinical study by City of Hope, published in Cell Reports Medicine, revealed how leukemia cells weaken the immune system's ability to detect and fight the disease.
