COCESNA, also known as the Central American Corporation of Air Navigation Services, is a Non-profit organization headquartered in Honduras. Founded in 1960, the corporation employs approximately 270 individuals and specializes in providing services for airlines and aviation.
On September 29, 2026, COCESNA and Thales signed an agreement to install a Thales DVOR DME air navigation radio navigation system at the new Pacific International Airport in El Salvador, as part of COCESNA's regional air navigation systems program. Previously, on September 6, COCESNA and Thales executed two contracts to modernize the Central American Corporation for Air Navigation Services' Aeronautical Message Handling System (AMHS), Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) system, and navigation aids (NAVAIDS) infrastructure. These systems are intended for enhancement across six Central American countries: Belize, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, and Nicaragua. Earlier in June 2026, Prime Minister John Briceño traveled to Madrid, Spain, to participate in a meeting of COCESNA's Board of Directors.
