General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee and President To Lam visited the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) on September 11, witnessing the exchange of cooperation deals. France also awarded several contracts to Dassault Aviation, Thales, MBDA France, and Safran Aircraft Engines on September 11, securing the industrial foundation for the Rafale F5 fighter to prepare it for the increasingly contested air environment of the 2030s and beyond. That same day, Thales, in collaboration with Schiebel, demonstrated future Uncrewed Air Systems (UAS) capabilities, including the first UK flight of the Schiebel S-300, showcasing how rapidly evolving autonomous technologies can enhance mission flexibility for armed forces.
