PTS tells Tele2 Sweden to monitor mobile calls from abroad using Swedish numbers
Telecoms regulator PTS said that Tele2 Sweden has not been monitoring incoming phone calls from abroad that appear to come from Swedish mobile numbers. The authority has advised Tele2 that it must comply with the obligation to do so as part of fraud prevention measures. The operator has until 14 October to respond.

Comviq brings out 'Duo' subscription discount sharing system
Tele2 Sweden's budget brand, Comviq, said it has brought out a shared mobile subscription discount called Comviq Duo. Pairs of customers can get their own subscription at a permanent monthly discount of SEK 30. The other person could be a friend, romantic partner, sibling or neighbour, Comviq suggests. Comviq Duo is aimed at customers who want to split benefits but not share a mobile data allowance or their bill.

Net4Mobility extends 5G coverage to 90% of Sweden by activating 700 MHz band
Telenor Sweden and Tele2 Sweden said their joint mobile network company Net4Mobility has extended 5G coverage from 25 percent of the country's territory to 90 percent, meaning it now reaches 99.9 percent of the Swedish population. The expansion has been done by activating the low-frequency 700 MHz band, whose long reach works well in forests and mountain areas, in the archipelagoes, and indoors in urban environments.
