Swedish regulator clears Tele2 number portability practices
Swedish telecoms regulator PTS said it has found that Tele2 Sweden's new procedures for number porting do not violate the requirements of the Electronic Communications Act (LEK), even though the operator is no longer applying established industry practice. For this reason, the watchdog is concluding its review without taking any action. It said that despite changes to Tele2's routines, number porting still takes place as soon as possible on the date agreed by the customer and new operator.
