Comporium deployed Harmonic's Ripple Remote PHY (R-PHY) nodes on June 23, 2026, to deliver legacy services over an IP-based network. This distributed access architecture (DAA) deployment eliminated RF combining and splitting from the headend to the node and further reduced power, space, cooling, and cabling requirements for Comporium. Previously, on June 22, 2026, the regional provider of broadband, voice, video, and smart-home services selected Ribbon Communications' technology to modernize its voice infrastructure, expanding its IP voice platform.
