Comporium expanded its fiber network on March 31, 2026, investing $7.8 million to provide multi-gig internet to over 1,250 homes and businesses across multiple rural South Carolina counties. Previously, the company launched fiber-based internet services to more than 500 homes and businesses in Transylvania County, North Carolina, on March 29. This launch followed Comporium's March 26 announcement of a $4.7 million investment, which funded the installation of approximately 64 miles of fiber to reach 517 locations in the county, expanding access to high-speed connectivity. Earlier, on February 10, Comporium promoted Judson Davis to Vice President & Professional Engineer of Broadband Engineering and Records. In his new role, Davis leads the Broadband Engineering, Core Network Access Technologies, and Records teams.
