Confederação Brasileira de Rugby

Confederacao Brasileira de Rugby, also known as CBRu or Brazilian Rugby Union, is a state-owned entity headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil. The organization, which had its current confederation structure established in 2010, operates with approximately 170 employees and reported $12.4M in revenue as of 2023. It specializes in sports tickets, merchandise, and sponsorship, functioning as the official governing body for rugby union in Brazil. The CBRu is responsible for the administration, promotion, and development of rugby across the country, overseeing six affiliated state federations and managing the national teams, known as the Tupis. It operates under a professionalized business model supported by private sponsorships, government incentives, and international grants from World Rugby.
